Tuning -
The song is played in standard tuning, with a capo placed on the 4th fret.
-Memory Lane is a song that uses a ton of chord shapes, so I put the chords for the verse onwards in the chord diagram box to help clarify what's going on, if needed.
-The song should be played entirely fingerstyle, and it really exemplifies Elliott's rather unique style of switching between complex picking patterns and loose thumb-and-fingers strumming. The intro and choruses are played in the former style, while the verses and outro are much looser... so for those parts, i wouldn't stress over the exact notes; just follow the notated rhythm, and mind where the thumb hits the low string on the downbeats.
-The three verses sound very similar, but i kept them seperate because of a few subtle differences. The 2nd and 3rd verses add a few moving bass notes, and the 3rd verse has a switch from a C chord to a B, underscoring the "...bed all day..." line.
