Notice

All notated Palm Muted Rhythm Guitar Strokes in "Madhouse" are Downstrokes, and in fact, I would have to say that ALL Rhythm Strokes are most likely Downstrokes. Scott Ian is very outspoken about this subject, so this is very safe to assume.

Also, Scott Ian plays the Intro Lead Section, a high part, and a low part. On the actual Studio Recording, Guitar III is in the Right Channel, Guitar IV is in the Left Channel. Danny Spitz plays the Extended Guitar Solo during in the middle part of the Song.

The Intro Lead is doubled by Scott, another Guitar which mimics the exact same part, except a natural 3rd lower (at 12th Fret Position).

Trivia

"Madhouse" is a single by thrash metal band Anthrax, from the album, Spreading the Disease. The song is an up-tempo song with hard riffs and contains one of the strongest thrash tempos Anthrax has created in their early time. The song has become a staple of live concerts, and has also appeared on Anthrax's "best of" album, Anthrology: No Hit Wonders (1985-1991).
It is included in the 2002 video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, on the fictional radio station V-Rock. It is also featured in the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 video game, Guitar Hero II.
