Tuned down 1 full step,
The songs should be played with the thumb plucking the downbeats and the index finger handling everything on the higher strings, many ES songs, such as 'Sweet Adeline' and 'Tomorrow Tomorrow' are played in a similar style.
The notes in parenthesis (ghost notes), shouldn't be articulated, I just put those in to guide the left hand into making the full chord shapes. I included the chord diagram list, so you can check that out if needed.
In both the live videos I referenced, Elliott plays bars 1 - 6 slightly differently than on the recording... the thumb motion is the same, but the higher string notes are played as triplets, with the index and middle finger. So each pair of 16th notes on the tab would be played as a 16th note triplet grouping of thumb-index-middle. It's the same banjo-roll technique that opens 'Tomorrow Tomorrow', check that tab out and you'll see what i'm talking about.
