The chord names are written relative to a guitar in standard tuning albeit the guitar in the actual track is tuned half a step down. This is done simply reasons of convenience. The song is thus not really in G but Gb.
The song has a bluesy mood and the chords are outlined by plucking one note at a time, or through arpeggios. Use neck pick-up for verse/chorus. Green Day's most minimalistic song guitarwise.
The solo is pretty much a variation of the verse.
There's also a guitar doubling the root note of each chord (which is one octave above Mike's bass line). I haven't included this in the tab as I felt it was unnecessary. Could'nt be much easier to play.
