Love Spreads - The Stone Roses Power Tab
Downloads & Mirrors
Described by Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie as "The greatest comeback song ever", the Roses didn't pull any punches by making this their first release after five years. This still had the religiously-fuelled lyrics heard in their earlier material, with those familiar hushed vocals from Ian Brown, and that distinctive Reni/Mani underbelly groove. When the song came out, everyone thought it had been penned by Brown, the lyrics were so much in his style (the lyrics ponder Jesus being a black woman, and in John Squire's words are about "the hyjacking of religion").
